I recently finished shuffling some of my projects around, moving them to where I think they make more sense, merging a few things and doing some importing and exporting to get stuff where (I now believe) it needs to be.

It was a few hours of work, but it felt a lot weightier than that: energetically it was months of effort because of all the anxiety I feel any time I change something about my public-facing endeavors, which causes me to question whether I’m making the right choices and how folks on the other end will respond.

The bulleted items populating our to-do lists (or task-organization equivalents—I organize most of my projects and deadlines on my calendar) can seem superficially similar, but they’re often distinct in many ways.
