Long Walk Day
It’s the first day in what seems like a very long time that the temperatures here in Milwaukee are tolerable for someone like me, who melts pretty much as soon as the mercury climbs above 80°F (it’s been up in the 90s with high-ish humidity outside, and warmer still inside my apartment—which is definitely built to retain heat, not expel it).
It’s also the first night in a while that I was able to get plenty of sleep, lacking the aforementioned heat and the noise from nearby fireworks well after midnight.
So today I’m planning to take a few long walks, to play guitar, to read some books, to work on my Mandarin, and to do very little actual work (in the money-earning sense of the word).
Apologies for the lack of more typical newsletter fare, but I think it’s important to have these sorts of days, sometimes, when you’re able to shoehorn them in and when they’re likely to be especially regenerative.
That said, I’ve still collected some links to interesting things that I hope you enjoy :)
