Recalibration Day
I was thinking of claiming a "mental health day" today, but it's actually more of a "grand resetting in preparation for a few impending pivots" day.
One catalyst for this recalibration is the desire to rearrange aspects of my apartment for the autumn/winter months, making also some tweaks that'll allow me to (hopefully not too ham-handedly, but we'll see) produce more visual, video-things in the near-future (I'll talk more about this in the coming weeks).
Another is preparing to have company: my girlfriend—who's been in Baltimore preparing for a gallery show—is arriving back in Milwaukee this evening, and she'll be staying with me while getting back into the rhythm of her life in the Midwest.
I tend to keep things pretty tidy and organized (if "in motion" and well-used, rather than spotless and clinical), but I also like to do an extra round of deep-cleaning and reshuffling when I know someone else will be sharing my space for a bit.
So I've been moving things around, consolidating, and making-more-accommodating several aspects of my home, and will be putting the finishing touches on that process today.
I'm keeping this week's newsletter short, as a consequence, so I can focus on those efforts, while also finishing up some work before she arrives.
I hope your final-week-of-October is going splendidly, whether you're bringing order to your space and/or life, or settling into a routine and environment that's already well-sculpted for your current needs and ambitions :)

Outro
I got some really solid advice on this last week, but I'll ask one more time (in the hope that I'll be able to flesh out my growing list still-further).
Are you watching anything good right now? Films, TV shows, etc?
I would love to hear your suggestions if you have any. Thanks in advance :)
