It’s stressful, it’s chaotic, it’s a wild and worrisome world.
It makes sense to be anxious and angry. It makes sense to be concerned about what happens next.
It makes tons of sense to fret over how we might make things better, and it makes just as much sense to lose sleep over the possibility that (despite our best efforts) we’re actually making things worse.
I certainly feel these things. And I struggle with establishing the right balance between being educated about and interested in everything, and stepping back, taking a deep breath, and just screaming and stretching and sleeping in order to decompress, untense, and retain some semblance of my sanity.
Even amidst all this, though, even with all these warranted concerns (and vexation, agita, and anticipation) about the future, I think it’s important to remember to be happy.
