Road Trip Time
I'm jotting this down the night before it goes out as I'll be leaving early in the morning for a two-week-ish road trip southeastward to North Carolina, then up to Baltimore before returning back to Milwaukee.
I'll be back in town for another two weeks, then I'll fly out to Seattle to house- and pet-sit the latter-half of September.
I'm in the midst of packing, compiling one last load of laundry, and figuring out what food will spoil (and will thus need to be tossed) before I take off.
I'll be traveling with my girlfriend, Ariana—we're hauling some of her artwork out to the coast for a gallery show she's got coming up, while also using the opportunity to visit a few wings of her family and one portion of mine.
The plan is to also enjoy some nice little adventures in between those endpoints (which tends to be both feasible and ideal within the context of well-paced roadtrips).
This email is truncated because of that schedule, but if you'd like to follow along I'll be trying to remind myself to share photos on Instagram while in-transit, visiting neat things, etc (my Insta: @colinismyname).
Also: I've pre-made and scheduled most of the work I'd otherwise need to worry about for the duration of this trip (so my various projects will go out as normal), but there's a chance some of the One Sentence News podcast episodes (which are week-daily and not pre-make-able) won't happen because of bad WiFi, no quiet place to record, or me truly not feeling up to it after a day of travel—apologies in advance if that potentiality becomes reality :)
