Quick Notes

Trip: I finished up my quick swing through LA, had a blast recording a podcast episode and doing an event with my friends at The Minimalists, and now I’m up in Seattle, hanging out with family and helping take care of my little nephew, James

Work: As I mentioned last week, I did a lot of prep for most of my projects, so they’re operating as normal, but for One Sentence News I’m doing a visuals-focused format in lieu of the usual email/podcast combo—it’s easier to maintain from the road, and kind of a fun change-up from time to time

Newsletter: On that same note, this week I’m deviating from the usual newsletter format to give a brief snapshot of my trip—all “shot from the hip” style photos, so nothing fancy, but a gesture at how the trip has been thus far :)

Some Photos!

My current bag-and-water-bottle travel setup.

My hotel was relatively inexpensive, walking-distance to LAX, and generally comfortable for what it was—but the planes flying directly overhead all hours of the day and night was really something special.

Before the tour event in San Diego—had something like 400-500 people in attendance.

The (very early, 4am) morning after, at the airport, Seattle-bound. Got back to my hotel around 11pm, so I was pretty bleary-eyed at this point.
