Some Questions
It was a later than usual night, last night (not in a fun way), and today my girlfriend is leaving for a medium-sized east coast trip, so I was planning to do a sort of mental health day so I can spend a bit more time with her before she takes off—but I’d actually like to take the opportunity to ask a few questions, rather than just doing a truncated newsletter.
So if you have a moment, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the following questions (answers to one, some, or all are very welcome and appreciated):
I’m experimenting with a bunch of different video formats, and am planning to record a news-focused (One Sentence News-like) video and a book review (of the bird book mentioned above) this week. Are there any types of videos you’d particularly like to see from me? (Based on my existing projects and things I talk about, or something entirely different?)
I’m in the process of reorganizing my projects a bit, intending to make subscribing to and supporting them a little more intuitive (it’s a bit of a jumble at the moment). While I’m working on this, though, I’d love to hear if there’s something I could be doing (with this newsletter or with my individual projects) that would make becoming a paid supporter a no-brainer for you—some additional content, some way of setting things up, etc?
Are there any topics/subjects/focuses you’d like to see me spend more time on in any aspect of my work (any medium, any project)? I tend to follow my interests and curiosity with a lot of what I do, but I also want to align those pursuits with the needs of the folks on the other end of all these publications and broadcasts whenever possible. So if there’s something I could be doing that would be valuable to you, I’d love to hear about it.
Thank you for taking the time to share your answers and insights with me if you have a few minutes to spare on this!
I’ll be back with a more normal newsletter next week :)
Video Essay
This week’s video essay is about productivity, systems, and tools.
Likes, shares, and subscribes are very much appreciated, and if you have a question you’d like me to answer in a future video, drop me a YouTube comment or email :)
